Reading Room 2 Summary: There are six free printable games to aid with reading skills in this room and ideas on using a piece of software to aid spelling.

'Four in a Row' is one of the most popular downloads on the site so is well worth checking out. Change has a focus on the sounds 'er,ir, ur, short oo, long oo & ck'. The 'Four in a Row Syllable Game' was made by a teacher in Ireland and is hosted here. The 'Snakes and Ladders' game is blank and so allows the students to add their own sound focuses. Then there is the Wordsearch Software... get the students to make their own.
